- Less frequent incidence of low-birthweight babies in public clinics than for the nation as a whole
- High blood pressure is more often under control for patients of public clinics than for the nation as a whole (63% to 43%)

HRSA Health Systems Bureau
- Help track and compensate vaccine-related injuries to assist
injured individuals, help stabilize vaccine costs, and ensure an
adequate supply of vaccines
- Track, manage and compensate injuries from countermeasures taken to combat pandemics, epidemics and for other security purposes
- Support the national Poison Control Program as well as regional
poison centers in their mission to prevent and improve treatment for
poisonings

- Help award and manage State Health Access Program grants to expand access to affordable healthcare for people who are uninsured
- Promote innovative steps to address healthcare coverage gaps, such
as community coverage, high risk insurance pools, and automated
enrollment systems
